PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for molding, using wood as a raw material, usable widely as a material for an automobile component or as daily necessaries, and excellent in moldability.SOLUTION: Woody biomass is subjected to a steam treatment at a temperature of 170-230°C and at a pressure of 0.8-3 MPa, for 5-20 minutes, and after instant release of the pressure, subjected to an explosive-shattering treatment, to thereby obtain an explosively shattered product having an average grain diameter of 30 μm or less, and to obtain a material for molding excellent in moldability.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
