A METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE RING DIRECTION CONFIGURE IN THE RING NETWORK

A method for implementing the ring direction configure in the ring network includes: when the receiving side node receives the ring direction information from the transmitting side node, it compares its priority with the priority of the transmitting side node. The receiving side node can determine its ring direction of the normal communication whether the priority of the receiving side node is relatively higher or lower. A device for implementing the ring direction configure in the ring network includes: the resilient packet ring (RPR) management unit, the interface unit, the ring direction negotiation unit; in which, the ring direction negotiation unit judges whether the device in which it is located has relatively higher priority according to the received ring direction information of the other communication node, and determines the ring direction of the normal communication of the device in which it is located. Therefore, the method and device according to the invention obviously reduces the workload of the ring direction configure, enhances the efficiency of the ring direction configure and effectively reduces the error ratio of the ring direction configure.
