PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil for torque limiter easily identifying a torque limiter impregnated with a different oil with the same form and to provide a torque limiter utilizing the same. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil used in a torque limiter which intercepts transmission of a rotating torque comprises an additive formulated in a base oil, wherein the additive comprises at least a fluorescent material and the formulating ratio of the fluorescent material is 1-3 wt.%. in the lubricating oil.
