<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for a liquid cooling unit and the liquid cooling unit allowing for enhancement of heat dissipation efficiency, and an electronic device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Between a first and second flat plates 61, 62, a flat space 63 is compartmentalized. In the space 63, a larger cross section can be secured as compared with the cross section of a cylindrical tube. The space 63 functions as a flow path for a coolant. As the cross section is increased, the current velocity of the coolant is decreased. The coolant moderately flows in the space 63. The coolant makes contact with the first and second flat plates 61, 62 for a long period. The heat of the coolant is sufficiently transferred to the first and second flat plates 61, 62. Additionally, air current flows through along a plurality of first radiation fins 64 erected from an outer surface of the first flat plate 61 and a plurality of second radiation fins 65 erected from an outer surface of the second flat plate 62. Thus, the heat of the coolant is discharged into air from the outer surface of the first flat plate 61, the outer surface of the second flat plate 62, and the first and second radiation fins 64, 65.
