PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a weight of a forging blank, a weight measuring instrument and a forging line with which the weight of the forging blank can be measured at high precision while securing the productivity of the forging line. SOLUTION: At the same time of measuring the gravity received with a billet 2 during conveying, and an accelerating force in the horizontal direction received to the billet 2 during conveying and the vibration of a receiving table 3 for laying the billet 2, are measured, and the measured value of the gravity receiving with the billet 2 during conveying is corrected, base on the measured value of the accelerating force received to this billet 2 during conveying and the measured value of the vibration of the conveying billet 3 and from the measured value of the gravity received with this billet 2 during conveying, the accelerating force received to this billet 2 during conveying and the vibration of the conveying table 3, are removed. In this way, even during conveying, the weight of the billet 2 can be measured at the high accuracy and also, since the weight of the billet 2 can be measure during conveying, the productivity of the forging line can be secured.
