PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion-exchange membrane having a preferentially-oriented texture.SOLUTION: An ion-exchange membrane of the present invention is one having a preferentially-oriented texture, which comprises: a macromolecule base material; and nanoparticles buried in the macromolecule base material. The content of the nanoparticles is 0.1-5 wt% to the total weight of the composite membrane. The ion-exchange membrane is less than 3.4 nm in ion agglomeration value.
