A natural inorganic pigment, and a method for preparing the natural inorganic pigment are provided to form the coating having excellent penetration and adhesive strength on a wallpaper and to allow the pigment to be repainted several times. A natural inorganic pigment comprises 15-50 wt% of potassium silicate; 20-60 wt% of colloidal silica; 5-20 wt% of an auxiliary resin; 20-40 wt% of a pigment; 1-15 wt% of a zeolite powder; 0.3-2 wt% of a water repellent; 0.5-2 wt% of a lubricant; and 0.3-3 wt% of other additives. Preferably the potassium silicate contains 15-35 wt% of a solid part and its ratio of silica(SiO2) and potassium oxide(K2O) is 2.5-5.0 by mol; the colloidal silica contains 10-40 wt% of silica and has an average particle size of 5-25 nm and a pH of 8.5-10.5. |
