EDGE DAM FOR TWIN ROLL STRIP CASTER

摘要

PURPOSE: An edge dam refractory material for twin-roll strip casting is provided to lengthen the service life of edge dam by lowering the abrasive ratio of a casting roll after stabilized. CONSTITUTION: An edge dam refractory material(1) for twin-roll strip casting comprises base refractories(2) which are provided on both sides of a twin-roll strip caster, and a frictional surface member(3) which makes contact with casting rolls(R,R'). A coating layer(S) with high abradability is formed on the surface of the frictional surface member in order to improve the molten metal sealing stability of the edge portion of the casting rolls.
