PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a novel footwear exerting a superior cushioning property (shock absorption) and capable of controlling the cushioning characteristic. SOLUTION: This footwear S is formed by attaching a cushioning component 1 that has a casing 2 having flexibility, an ultra-deformable and vibration-absorbing body 3 stored in its inside, being functioned primarily as a cushioning function material and having an elongation percentage of 500% or more, and a deforming permission part structure 4 releasing a compressive load applied to the component as a swelling deformation of the ultra-deformable and vibration-absorbing body 3, in the direction substantially orthogonal to the loading direction. The cushioning component 1 is formed by fixing at least a part of a boundary face between the ultra-deformable and vibration-absorbing body 3 and the casing 2, when the compressive load is applied from the footwear S to the cushioning component 1, the compressive load is absorbed by the swelling deformation of the ultra-deformable and vibration-absorbing body 3 in the deforming permission part structure 4, and after releasing the compressive load, the ultra-deformable and vibration-absorbing body 3 is returned to its initially provided shape.
