PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting member can facilitate the work for mounting the supporting member while supporting a flexible long member satisfactorily and to provide a building. SOLUTION: In a sectional building, a piping space 51 is formed in a clearance between adjacent columns 21. A flexible pipe 52 is arranged to extend along the column 21 in the piping space 51 and is supported by the supporting member 61 in the piping space 51. The supporting member 61 includes a U-shaped part 62 and an outer side protruding part 63 and is attached to the column 21. In this case, the U-shaped part 62 is opened toward an outdoor side to have its inner side recessed on an indoor side and the flexible pipe 52 is inserted into the curved inner side of the U-shaped part 62.
