PURPOSE: A large-sized EL-display panel and method for making the same divide each of a first electrode line and second electrode line of EL-display panel into at least two lines, and thus make effective mono-color display panel, multi-color display panel, or full-color display panel. CONSTITUTION: The EL-display panel has the first electrode(2), EL-layer(4), and a second electrode(3). A barrier layer(6) includes a first barrier(6a) which divides one line of the second electrode on the first electrode into at least two lines, and thus makes an independent line. A buffer layer(7) is formed between the first electrode and the barrier layer. Thereby, a response time of a display panel is increased, a line resistance and a driving voltage are reduced, and a luminance increases.
