PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a walking-type rotary farm machine, configured to ensure safety of a worker on both sides when a handle is turned to move forward/backward.SOLUTION: A restraining stopper 48 is disposed in a position that comes in contact with a change lever 18 for operating a multi-gear clutch 38 on a handle turning stage 25 while turning a handle 24 to change a moving direction. After the direction of the handle 24 is changed by removing the change lever 18 from the clutch to separate the change lever 18 from the brake stopper 48, the change lever 18 can be operated again for clutch operation. A switch restraining mechanism K is provided which includes a restraining plate 19 that puts restraint to disconnect a rotary clutch 30 when the handle 24 is positioned at the rear where a rotary 21 is located, and the multi-gear clutch 38 is in back position, and puts restraint so that the multi-gear clutch 38 may not enter high-speed position when the handle 24 is positioned at the front. |
