PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably evaluate an impression of a document to be evaluated according to the kind of the document to be evaluated. SOLUTION: A document impression evaluating device comprises a document discrimination means (S2) of discriminating the type of the document to be evaluated; a feature quantity extracting means (S3) of extracting at least one feature quantity from the document to be evaluated; an expression information extracting means (S4) of extracting expression information related to conditions that the type of the document to be evaluated and the feature quantity of the document to be evaluated meet by referring to a database, wherein a condition for at least one visual feature quantity relating to a document and expression information showing an impression of a person who views the document are related, for each type of a document; and an output means (S5) of outputting the extracted expression information as information regarding the impression that the document to be evaluated gives to the person.
