PURPOSE: A compressor control method for an airconditioner is provided to block out a liquid coolant from flowing in and prevent a damage to the compressor. CONSTITUTION: The compressor control method for an airconditioner comprises; step1(s10) to measure the pressure of the coolant passing a suction tube(20) with a pressure sensor(24); step2(s10') to measure a temperature of the coolant passing the suction tube(20) with a temperature sensor(24); step3(s20) to calculate a saturated temperature(TP) using the pressure value measured in the above step; step4(s30) to compare the difference between the saturated temperature(TP) and the actual temperature measured in the above step(s10'); and step5(s40), to open the compressor(10) if the difference between the temperatures is above O.
