METHOD FOR DOWNLOADING INCOMING SOUND OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL USING OVER THE AIR SERVICE PROVISIONING FUNCTION(OTAF) SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for downloading an incoming sound of a mobile communication terminal using an over the air service provisioning function(OTAF) system is provided to receive incoming sound data for being transmitted to the mobile communication terminal and to receive a telephone number of a terminal requesting an incoming sound transmission, to identify a location of the terminal from a home location register(HLR) and to transmit the incoming sound data to the terminal, so that an exchange which does not generate a temporary reference number(TRN) can change the incoming sound data. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal connects a call for requesting an incoming sound downloading to a counselor server of a customer care service center. The terminal receives incoming sound data and a mobile identification number by calling a counselor. The mobile communication terminal receives a point code of an exchange in which a terminal for downloading an incoming sound from a home location register(HLR) is located, and receives information on an electronic serial number(ESN) of the terminal. The mobile communication terminal converts the incoming sound data into predetermined data types, and transmits the converted incoming sound data to the exchange. The exchange transmits the received incoming sound data to the corresponding terminal. If data transmissions are completed, terminal power is reset to change into the transmitted incoming sound data.
