The invention relates to a roaming method for a subscriber to a telecommunication operator's mobile phone network, in which the mobile phone card comprises several files, in particular a file containing a list of n forbidden telecommunication networks. The inventive method comprises the following steps: establishing a list of groups of forbidden networks for each country; remotely replacing all or part of the forbidden networks of the initial file with a group of forbidden networks for a particular country using said list. According to the invention, another step is provided for, involving the reorganisation of the list of preferred networks consisting in placing the networks relating to the country visited at the top of the list.
