PURPOSE: An accident recorder of a vehicle is provided to analyze accident time, drive state, accident trace, vehicle speed, vehicle position and so on stored in a fresh memory after an accident. CONSTITUTION: A present position of a vehicle is obtained by using a GPS receiver(2) and a GPS antenna(1). A movement distance is calculated with a vehicle speed sensor(4) by continuously recognizing a vehicle position with a gyro sensor(3) in an area where GPS reception is impossible. A movement distance data is inputted in a microcomputer(7). A signal of a vehicle G sensor(6), a brake-on signal, a right/left direction light signal are inputted. An interrupt-process is performed per pulse generated from the vehicle speed sensor so that an angle change amount of the gyro sensor is measured. An impact amount is measured from the vehicle G sensor and the present position of the vehicle, time, and vehicle direction are measured from the GPS receiver(2). Then, the measured data is recorded in the fresh memory connected to the microcomputer.
