PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that can smoothly discharge a recording medium onto a discharge tray even when a notch is provided on the discharge tray onto which the recording medium is discharged.SOLUTION: An ink-jet printer comprises: a recording section that is disposed inside a device main body and performs printing with respect to a sheet P; and a paper discharge tray 24 that is provided in an insertable and removable manner with respect to the device main body and receives the sheet P printed by the recording section and discharged in an insertion/removal direction, transportation direction Y. A notch 76 for avoiding contact of the paper discharge tray 24 with a swinging member when the paper discharge tray 24 is inside the device main body is formed from an upstream side end portion in a paper discharge direction, transportation direction Y, of the sheet P in the paper discharge tray 24 toward a downstream side in the paper discharge direction. The notch 76 has a shape formed by connecting downstream ends S of both side portions 78 and a downstream end K constituted of one point in the paper discharge direction by straight lines. |
