A method for processing data in a record medium with recorded data which includes contents data and consists of a head data section and a succeeding data section including contents data. The head data section discriminates charging method identifying data extracted from record data read out of the record medium including charging method identifying data for identifying the charging method for actions at least based on data in the data section, processes charging on the basis of the discriminated charging method, and starts the execution of action based on data in the data section when the charging processing is normally completed.
