PURPOSE: A method for setting voice incoming bell signals by callers is provided to conveniently confirm the identity of a caller with an incoming bell sound signal only of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a general incoming bell sound is to be reset as a new incoming bell sound(S100). One of embedded incoming bell signals or one of downloaded bell signals is set up as the new incoming bell signal(S110). It is judged whether a mobile terminal is called by a caller(S120). If the caller is registered in a phone book, the current incoming bell signal linked with the caller number is generated(S130). Communication is progressed by confirming the generated incoming bell signal and hooking off(S140). It is judged whether a voice of the caller is set so as to be linked with incoming bell signals by callers(S150). If so, the voice of the caller is sampled to be recorded on a memory(S160). It is judged whether the communication is terminated(S170). If so, it is judged whether the sampled voice signal is stored the phone book so as to be linked(S180). If so, the sampled voice signal is converted into an MMF(Maximum Modulating Frequency) wave file to be stored as an incoming bell signal linked with caller identity.
