PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device of a mechanical multistory parking apparatus which restricts entering of a person into the parking apparatus during operation of the apparatus, can be constructed with a simple structure, and can be easily installed even to an existing facility.SOLUTION: A gate device 20, which closes and opens an entrance 23 of a vehicle installed at the front side of a mechanical multistory parking apparatus 10, includes: support posts 21 which are erected on both sides of the entrance 23; a gate 30 which closes and opens the entrance 23 by man power; a closing detector 27 which detects that the gate 30 closes the entrance 23; and a locking device 27 which fixes the gate 30 in a closed state. |
