<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correcting a skew of a sheet, without deteriorating a carrying delay or a carrying advance of the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A comparison determination portion 101 increases a sheet carrying speed of skew correcting rollers 2R and 2L on the same side as a sensor on the side for detecting the sheet as a delay among a plurality of sensors 6R and 6L when determining that the reference point passing timing of the sheet is delayed based on a detecting signal from a passing timing detecting part 100, and corrects a skew of the sheet by reducing the sheet carrying speed of the skew correcting rollers 2R and 2L on the same side as the sensor on the side detecting the sheet earlier among the plurality of sensors 6R and 6L when determining that the reference point passing timing of the sheet is fast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
