The system has a supporting column (6) rotatably controlled around a rotary axis (DA1) at a base (4) of the system. A lower end (8'') of an outer arm (8) is rotatably connected with an upper end (9') of an instrument carrier (9) around another rotary axis (DA2). The upper end of the instrument carrier lies opposite to an instrument retainer (10). An upper end (8') of the outer arm is connected with the supporting column over an inner arm (7) for producing controlled pivoting movement around pivoting axes (SA1, SA2). The latter rotary axis runs perpendicular to the pivoting axes. The inner and outer arms and/or the instrument carrier are formed as hollow bodies.
