The present invention relates to a production method for a liquid cleansing composition, the method comprising a step of adding an oil moiety to a D phase (surfactant phase) containing a surfactant and polyol so as to produce an O/D phase, and producing an aqueous moiety containing water, and then placing the aqueous moiety in the already produced O/D phase, and dispersing same and cooling and filtering. According to the present invention, producing a liquid crystal cleansing composition by means of the production method of the present invention is advantageous in that cleansing functionality, feel during use and moisturising ability are outstanding while at the same time there is very little skin irritation, the external appearance is transparent and the liquid crystal phase is stable over a long time. Also, a liquid crystal cleansing composition produced in accordance with the present invention can ensure an external appearance like a hologram due to the phenomenon of interference between light and the liquid crystal phase structure between two orthogonally disposed polarizing plates, and this phenomenon can be maintained even after 4 weeks at 45°C.
