PURPOSE: An extensible electric outlet containing a line cord makes storage of electric cord be easy without a separate line cord to reduce a failure degree of electricity such as short originating from a line cord, and to prevent an electricity failure by automatically cutting off overflow or leakage of current using an earth leakage breaker. CONSTITUTION: An extensible outlet comprises a coil spring which is provided in a wall of building structure and a length of which is adjustable and a line cord device which is engaged with the outlet. A direction of the line cord device is set opposite to that of the line cord. The line cord is adapted to be held in position when it is drawn by user in amount of necessity and free and to be rewound when it is again drawn and free. Length of the cord is variably constituted. The outlet further comprises a protector having a function to prevent leakage and overflow of current whereby a branched cut-off of electricity is possible when electrical short or leakage of current is generated during use.
