摘要 The present invention provides a liquid crystal aligning agent which allows manufacture of a liquid crystal device that provides excellent latent image characteristics and low ODF non-uniformity. The liquid crystal aligning agent comprises ingredients (A) and (B): (A) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyimide, polyamic acid, polyamic acid ester, polyorganosiloxane and a monomer having a polymerizable unsaturated bond; and (B) a photopolymerizable compound having any one of structure (C) and structure (D). Structure (C): a partial structure forming weaker intermolecular force than a covalent bond or a reversible covalent bond in at least one of the space from the functional group of ingredient (A) and the space from ingredient (B). Structure (D): a partial structure forming a covalent by heating in at least one of the space from the functional group of ingredient (A) and the space from ingredient (B).
