Provided is a card processing device with which it is possible to obtain a desirable sensation of a card being inserted completely. This card processing device comprises: a moving part 17 which moves between an insertable/ejectable position 17A whereat a pressing member 16 is positioned higher than a card 2 which is inserted via a card insertion port 3 and whereat insertion and ejection of the card 2 is possible, and an insertion completion position whereat it is possible for the pressing member 16 to make contact with the upper face of the card 2 and press upon the upper face of the card 2, said position being below the insertable/ejectable position 17A; and a retaining member 18 which slides between a retaining position 18A whereat the moving member 17 is retained at the insertable/ejectable position 17A and a withdrawn position whereto the retaining member withdraws such that the moving member 17 moves to the insertion completion position. With this card processing device, when the card 2 which is inserted via the card insertion port 3 and makes contact with a contact member 19 is inserted further, the retaining member 18 slides from the retaining position 18A to the withdrawn position, and the moving member 17 moves from the insertable/ejectable position 17A to the insertion completion position. |
