PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer further improving processing stability of thermoplastic polymers, as compared with conventional ones by adding it to the thermoplastic polymers. SOLUTION: The stabilizer mainly comprises a bisphenol monoester and contains a bisphenol-based compound, wherein the area of the bisphenol-based compound is 0.15-70, when the area of the bisphenol monoester is set to be 100 in a chromatograph according to the liquid chromatographic analysis of the stabilizer. A method for producing the same, a thermoplastic polymer composition containing the stabilizer and a method for stabilizing thermoplastic polymers using the stabilizer are also provided.
