FIELD: physics, computer technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of computer engineering and provides for estimate of radial distortion factor with optical subsystems in the course of computer vision systems setup and operation. Integration of the option of arbitrary displacement of the optoelectronic sensor viewing direction into a method of adaptive calibration of radial distortion of computer vision system optical subsystems envisaging computer input of image, calculation of the lens radial distortion out of expression , contour extraction and image binarisation, selection of calibration object from among the sceneshifter objects based on fuzzy logic mathematical tools techniques, definition of the calibration object centre point through arithmetical average of all the points of the object, localisation of the calibration object centre point in the image for the "n" viewing direction and estimate of radial distortion factors. The method ensures the object framing maintenance providing for the principal optic axes and the original direction principal optic axis remaining within the same plane after each displacement. ^ EFFECT: expansion of the method application field due to possibility of rectilinear displacement of the optoelectronic sensor in an arbitrary direction and precision enhancement resulting from compensation of errors related to necessity to provide for the optoelectronic sensor displacement being truly horizontal (vertical). ^ 4 dwg |
