According to an aspect, a portable electronic apparatus includes a housing, a touch panel, and a control unit. The housing includes a first surface, and a convex section that is formed near an edge area of the first surface. The touch panel is arranged on the first surface, and includes a first area near the convex section and a second area excluding the first area. The control unit controls the touch panel to display an operation screen on the first area.

1. A portable electronic apparatus comprising:
a housing including a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and a touch panel arranged on the first surface, wherein the second surface includes a back first area near one edge of the second surface and a back second area excluding the back first area, a first width, which is between the back first area and the first surface in a first direction vertical to the first surface, is wider than a second width, which is between the back second area and the first surface in the first direction, and a back first length, which is between the one edge of the second surface and a back first edge that is an edge of the back first area at a center side of the second surface, in a second direction parallel to the second surface, is equal to or less than 50 mm.
