PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can obtain uniform printing, has a good thermal response and is inexpensive. SOLUTION: In the thermal head provided with a heat radiating substrate 11 mounted with a head part A and a driving part B, the head part A has a supporting substrate 12 provided with a heat insulating layer 12b on an insulating substrate 12a, a heating resistor 13 formed on the supporting substrate 12, an electrode 14 which is formed on the heating resistor 13 and feeds current to the heating part 13a of the heating resistor 13 and a protective layer 15 protecting the heating part 13a, while the driving part B has a driving circuit board 19 provided with a circuit pattern 20 for transmitting a control signal or the like to control the current to be feeded to the heating part 13a, and a thermistor 17 having a bare chip structure which forms the electrode on the material having the resistance value changeable by temperatures is arranged on the supporting substrate 12 or the driving circuit board 19.
