<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug detection switch and a plug detecting method, which prevents the generation of shavings of resin even if a plug is inserted/extracted. <P>SOLUTION: A detection switch 2 composed of a jack 1 and a plug P, includes: a connection terminal 40 including a platy contacting portion 43a which can be elastically displaced; a resin ball 50 within a displacement area of the contacting portion 43a; a first switch terminal 20 including a platy movable portion; and a second switch terminal 30 including a platy portion. The contacting portion 43a, a movable portion 23, and a contacting portion 33 are separately arranged in a vertical direction to a plug insertion direction, and the resin ball 50 is disposed between the contacting portion 43a and the movable portion 23. When the plug P is inserted, the contacting portion 43a is displaced in an anti-plug P direction, and an outside surface of the contacting portion 43a strikes on an inside surface of the resin ball 50. The displacement of the resin ball 50 displaces the movable portion 23 outward, and the movable portion 23 is displaced to electrically connect with the contacting portion 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
