PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absolute encoder easy to obtain linearity of output by detecting an absolute rotating angle in an inexpensive compact configuration, that enables trimming and hardly requires demagnetization precision of the encoder. SOLUTION: The absolute encoder 1 comprises a part to be detected 2 and a magnetic flux detection part 3, provided mutually relatively in rotatable manner. The part to be detected 2 covers a magnet 4 with a magnetic substance 5 and restricts the range of the magnetic flux detected by the magnetic flux detection part 3, by providing a window part 6 on the magnetic substance 5.
