PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing agent for a microwave oven, capable of sterilizing a storage in a microwave oven, especially, Bacillus bacteria growing on a table to place a food on.SOLUTION: A sterilizing agent for a microwave oven contains a film forming agent and water. Preferably, the film forming agent is starch or its processed product, and further contains an antibacterial agent. A method for sterilizing a microwave oven includes: a step of coating a mixed liquid containing the film forming agent and water onto at least a table of the microwave oven; a step of forming a dried coat of the mixed liquid on a coating surface by using the microwave oven; and a step of peeling the formed dried coat from the coating surface.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
