PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire hydrant equipped with a rapid air valve with a simple constitution capable of discharging a large amount of air. SOLUTION: The fire hydrant equipped with rapid air valve is provided with A: a valve box 2 provided with a valve cap 7; B: a first valve rod 11 provided rotatably and vertically non-movably against the valve cap; C: a second valve rod 9 advanceably/retreatably thread-engaged with the first valve rod and provided non-rotatably and vertically movably against the valve cap; D: a valve element 1 provided at a tip end of the second valve rod and opening/ closing a communication from a lower opening 2A to an upper opening 2B of the valve box; E: a guide member with communication hole 25 provided in the first valve rod; F: a float valve element 21 accommodated in the guide member; a floating valve element 22 vertically movably in the guide member accompanying with the float valve element, formed with discharge holes 27, 29 opened/closed by the float valve element and capable of discharging an air to the outside through the communication hole by descending it to a lower part as compared with the communication hole 25 at an upper part of the side surface of the guide member.
