PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic feeder apparatus which performs an image detection operation of either one side or both sides in accordance with any document without restriction of paper length. SOLUTION: The automatic feeder apparatus comprises at least a feeder mechanism, a transfer route, first and second guide routes, a first guide unit having first and second guide plates, a second guide unit, first and second temporary storage routes, and first to fifth roller sets, wherein one end of the first guide plate pivots between the first and second guide routes, and the other end abuts downward on the second guide plate thereunder. With this configuration, the paper from the second guide route passes the upper surface of the second guide plate, opens the lower end surface of the first guide plate, enters the first and second temporary storage routes, is temporarily stored in the first or second temporary storage route, passes the upper surface of the first guide plate, and is guided to the first guide route.
