PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength allocation method etc. capable of improving utilization efficiency of wavelength resource.SOLUTION: The wavelength allocation apparatus includes: a judgement section; a determination section; and an evaluation section. The judgement section judges whether or not a wavelength bandwidth of an optimal path for demand has an available bandwidth to which the demand can be allocated. When the judgement section judges that the wavelength bandwidth of the optimal path has no available bandwidth to which the demand can be allocated, the determination section allocates the demand to an alternative route. The evaluation section calculates the influence level of a segment as a factor of alternative route on the optimal path based on the optimal path for the demand and a difference between the alternative route and the cost of the path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
