PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a self-priming pump which prevents discharge of priming water from a priming water opening even when the priming water opening is disposed low.SOLUTION: A self-priming pump includes: a runner 5; a pump motor 4 for rotating the runner 5; a water suction port 11 for sucking water into a pump by the rotation of the runner 5; a discharge opening 14 for discharging sucked water; a priming water opening 13 for supplying priming water to the runner 5; and a casing for accommodating priming water supplied from the priming water opening 13. In the self-priming pump, a cylindrical structure 23 communicating with the priming water opening 13 is provided inside the casing, and a cross section of the cylindrical structure 23 is larger than a cross section of the priming water opening 13; thereby, even when the priming water opening is disposed low, discharge of priming water from the priming water opening can be prevented, and also, even when water pressure of priming water is low, the supply of priming water is not disturbed. |
