The present invention provides a photocatalyst member which maintains proper photocatalyst activity, and has a glaze layer with a photocatalyst layer having proper film strength, water resistance, and abrasion resistance. The photocatalyst member is formed with at least a substrate including the glaze layer, and the photocatalyst layer containing titanium oxide and zirconium titanate formed on the glaze layer. The amount of the zirconium titanate in the photocatalyst layer is 15-75 mass wt% compare to the sum of the titanium oxide and the zirconium titanate, and the amount of the zirconium titanate in an interface region with the substrate or an intermediate region on the thickness of the photocatalyst layer is bigger than the amount of the zirconium titanate in a surface region of the photocatalyst layer. |
