A radio IC device enabling reduction of the manufacturing cost of a package, attachable to a small article, and having a tag forming portion having a reduced thickness. A cut part (61) with no aluminum vapor deposition film is formed at an end of an article package (60) formed of an aluminum vapor deposition laminate film. In the part, an electromagnetic coupling module (1) is provided. The radio IC device is composed of the electromagnetic coupling module (1) and the aluminum vapor deposition film of the article package (60). A loop electrode to serve as a magnetic transmission auxiliary radiator of the electromagnetic coupling module (1) is coupled with the aluminum vapor deposition film and the whole article package (60) acts as a radiator of an antenna.
