PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inducing efficient directed differentiation of hESC as a starting material for creating a cell which is useful in cell therapy application.SOLUTION: A method for identifying a differentiation factor which makes it possible to promote differentiation of human embryonic endoderm cells in a cell population including human cells comprises: a process of obtaining a cell population including human embryonic endoderm cells; a process of supplying a candidate differentiation factor to the cell population; a process of measuring expression of a marker in the cell population at a first point; a process of measuring expression of the same markers in the cell population at a second point; and a process of determining whether or not the expression of the marker in the cell population at the second point is increased or decreased comparing to the expression of the marker in the cell population at the first point, in which increase or decrease of the expression of the marker in the cell population is evaluated that the candidate differentiation factor is capable of promoting differentiation of the human embryonic endoderm cells.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
