Provided is a communication device capable of setting a response waiting time dependent on the response performance of equipment of a communication partner. A communication device (1) is provided with a transmission unit (15), a reception unit (16), a timer (17), a storage unit (18) and a time setting unit (19). The transmission unit (15) transmits a request signal to equipment (2). If a response signal has been received within a response waiting time, the reception unit (16) performs reception processing of the response signal. The timer (17) measures a response time from the transmission of the request signal to the reception of the response signal. In the storage unit (18), the history of the response time of the equipment (2) is associated with attribute information of the equipment (2) and stored. The time setting unit (19) sets the response waiting time corresponding to the attribute information of the equipment (2) on the basis of the history of the response time corresponding to the attribute information of the equipment (2). |
