The purpose of the present invention is to suppress a reverse recovery current generated in the switching of one side arm element without the increase of the number of circuit components or the complication of a circuit operation control when switching elements having different characteristics are arranged on upper and lower arms. A motor control device (100) comprises; a motor (4) which is rotated with alternating current power; and an inverter circuit (2A) which converts direct current power into alternating current power and performs a driving control of the motor (4) with the alternating current power. The inverter circuit (2A) is connected to upper and lower arms between positive and negative bus bars in which the direct current power is supplied. The inverter circuit (2A) has three pairs of n and m switching elements (11 to 16) which make a pair from top to bottom. A space of the three pairs of the switching elements (11 to 16) is connected to a power line of the motor (4). All pairs of the switching elements have different characteristics. A switching speed of an IGBT (11) of the n switching element is set slowly than a switching speed of a MOSFET (12) of the m switching element.
