A heating apparatus provided with a heater main body (10, 110, 210, 310, 410, 510) and a heater case (4, 104). The heater main body, which has the shape of a sheet and has a heat-generating part (11) for generating heat by electrical conduction, radiates the heat supplied from the heat-generating part. The heater case, which is installed on the vehicle-interior inner side relative to an airbag apparatus (5) of the vehicle, and which is either mounted to an interior member (3) in the vehicle interior or is part of the interior member, accommodates the heater main body. The heater case has a deployment-allowing part (30, 42) for allowing the airbag apparatus to deploy and expand into the vehicle interior. The heat-generating part is provided including a location corresponding to the deployment-allowing part. The heater main body has a low-strength part (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) which is provided to a location apart from the deployment-allowing part, and which is lower in strength than the location corresponding to the deployment-allowing part. |
