PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo handling vehicle capable of immediately recognizing which direction display of a direction display means indicates even traveling backward as well as in traveling forward. SOLUTION: This cargo handling vehicle 5 comprises a steering wheel 51 provided on a driver's seat in a car body 50, and a steering wheel 57 steered as the wheel 51 is operated to rotate, and it is capable of traveling forward and backward of the car body 50. It is provided with a steering angle detecting device 53 to detect a rotation angle of the wheel 51 or the steering wheel 57, a control device 54 to determine a traveling direction in forward/backward directions of the car body 50 based on output of the detecting device 53, and a display device 55 to display the car body traveling direction determined by the control device 54 provided on the driver's seat.
