PURPOSE:To permit the control of complicated shape as well as increase controlling capability for plate shape by providing bending load-generating devices on the inside and outside axle boxes of roll axle for each operating axle and also on te roll axle box of intermediate roll with a rigidity similar to that of an operating roll. CONSTITUTION:When maximum deflection in the direction 23 is applied to the operating roll 2, the dial type pressure controller 15 is operated to maximize the opening degree of the pressure requlating valves 10a to 10c in order to maximize the oil pressure of the pressure conduits 9a and 9b and also to maximize the opening degree of the pressure requlating valve 14a in order to maximize the oil pressure of the pressure conduit 13a. On the contrary, when maximum deflection in the direction 24 is applied to the roll 2, the opening degree of the requlating valves 10c and 14b is maximized in order to maximize the oil pressure of the conduits 9c and 13b. To apply roll balance force to the roll 2, oil pressure is applied only from the conduit 9c or from the conduits 9a, 9c, and 13a. |
