An apparatus for shaping curved structural members, in particular glued-laminated girders, curved beams or the like is specified. The apparatus has a plurality of carriage guides arranged in the form of a grid at a distance from one another on a base frame, along which in each case one slide with a revolving table (turntable) attached thereto can travel. The revolving table carries adjustable clamping elements. In this apparatus, an adjusting device for the freely selectable setting of the distance between the carriage guides is provided. One end of each carriage guide can travel longitudinally displaceably on the base frame and is mounted to be rotatable about an axis of rotation, while the other end of the carriage guide is mounted to freely oscillate on the base frame. As adjusting device, a device comprising an adjusting spindle and a clamping nut can be provided, the clamping nut being driven by motor, for example via a chain drive. Alternatively, the adjusting device can comprise a chain wheel and, on the longitudinal guide of the base frame, a chain, and for adjustment of the adjusting device there is provided a drive motor which drives the chain wheel for example. This adjusting device is assigned a braking device which arrests and fixes the chain wheel in the position desired in each case.
