The rack described serves to move a winning machine on a face conveyor. It is composed of individual sections (4, 5) and is mounted on and fastened to a side wall of the face conveyor. One toggle-like connecting piece (8) each serves to connect the individual sections (4, 5) at the joints. The connecting piece (8) lies in recesses (11, 12) of the rack body. With regard to its vertical position, the connecting piece (8) is arranged in such a way that it runs with its longitudinal axis symmetrically to the line (2) of action of the horizontal teeth (1). The pitch error during tension at the joint is limited by predetermined longitudinal play in the mounting arrangement of the connecting piece (8). The same applies upon contact between the rack sections (4, 5). Here, a negative pitch error is predetermined which is smaller than the pitch error during tension. <IMAGE>
