A structure for opening and closing a detergent box is provided to improve the convenience for use of a washing machine by automatically opening and closing the detergent box with an opening/closing unit. A structure for opening and closing a detergent box includes a detergent box accommodating section(20), a detergent box(22), an opening/closing unit, and an opening/closing switch. The detergent box accommodating section is formed on one side of a cabinet. The detergent box can be received in and withdrawn from the detergent box accommodating section. The opening/closing unit is formed in the detergent box and the detergent box accommodating section so that the detergent box can be automatically received in and withdrawn from the detergent box accommodating section. The opening/closing switch is installed on the other side of the cabinet to regulate the operation of the opening/closing unit. |
