The present invention relates to a method and dual-frequency card reader for preventing a collision between cards with different frequencies. The method comprises: detecting that a first card is located in a card swiping region; in communication with the first card, detecting that a second card is located in the card swiping region, the second card and the first card using different frequencies; and forbidding the second card from performing a payment transaction. The present invention further provides a dual-frequency card reader capable of preventing a collision between cards with different frequencies. By means of the scheme of the present invention, when cards with different frequencies enter a card swiping region at the same time, a card search response of one frequency channel is continuously monitored in the process of receiving and sending data through another frequency channel, whether a collision occurs between the cards with different frequencies is determined accordingly, and a swiping payment of at least one card is forbidden when a possible collision is found, thereby avoiding consecutive card swipings. |
